Marshall R Moore

Marshall Raymond Moore, age 79, of Russellville, moved to his Heavenly home on Monday, July 08, 2024, at his residence surrounded by his family. Marshall was born on Saturday, May 05, 1945, as the only child to Raymond Wiley & Cratus Olean Moore. He was a 1963 graduate of Belgreen High School and was always supportive of his alma mater. He was the former owner of WKAX Gospel Radio Station, worked in insurance sales for many years, and was a lifetime bass singer having sung with several different gospel quartets. He always woke up with a song in his heart, always singing around the house, and even up until the very end, still singing. He was so kindhearted, and he loved everyone. Marshall loved Nancy and they enjoyed their life together, being able to travel, and having fun with their family and friends. He always supported his children in everything they were involved in, and he loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren with his whole heart. Marshall's life was about love, and you always felt that around him. While we grieve Marshall's absence, we grieve with much hope, and we rejoice that he is now in the presence of the Lord Jesus. He is survived by his beloved wife of 33 years, Nancy Moore; children, Matt Moore (Kristi), Chasity Burcham (Scott), Barry Carpenter (Rachel), Brian Carpenter (Hope); grandchildren, Will, Jacob, and Addison Moore, Taylor McCreless (Dakota), Anna Burcham (Corey), Jonathan Burcham, Anna Warner (Chad), Ty Carpenter, Katelyn Carpenter (Luke), Karsen Carpenter; great-grandchildren, Alli McClung, Easton & Calvin McCreless, Maddox Moore, Evelyn, Max, and Reagan Warner; and a host of cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wiley & Cratus Moore, and grandmother, Rebecca King. The visitation for Marshall is 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral service and celebration of his life is at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 11, 2024, at Spry Memorial Chapel. Bro. Jeff Fleming and Bro. Scott Burcham will speak at the service. The burial will be at Duncan Creek Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Will Moore, Jacob Moore, Dakota McCreless, Chad Warner, Jonathan Burcham, Karsen Carpenter, and Justin Gasque. The honorary pallbearers will be Donald King, Larry Reid, Malcomb Seahorne, and Dale James. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the wonderful caregivers, the nurses, and staff of Enhabit Home Health and Enhabit Hospice for your love and care of Marshall.
