Louis Ford McNatt

Louis Ford McNatt, 84, Russellville died Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at his residence surrounded by his loving family and friends. Mr. McNatt was a World War II Army veteran who served in the Phillipines. He retired from Reynolds Metals Company after 55 years. He served as President of the Local 200 for several years. He was an active Mason for over 50 years and was a member of the Lodge 371 of Russellville. He was a lifetime member of Jonesboro Baptist Church and loved his church family very much. The visitation will be 6:00 ? 9:00 p.m. Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 30, 2011 at Jonesboro Baptist Church with the body lying in state one hour before the service. Officiating at the service will be Bro. Chad Beck and Bro. Wayne Boyles. Burial with Masonic rites will be at Franklin Memory Gardens. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 59 years, Rosie McNatt; parents, W.D. & Eliza McNatt; step-mother, Lillie McNatt; brothers, Walter McNatt, Fred McNatt, George McNatt, O?Neal McNatt, Bob McNatt, Dudley McNatt; sisters, Gertrude Carnahan, Ruby Griffin; grandson, Lance George; great-grandson, Trey Ferguson; sons-in-law, Willard (Jr.) Spurgeon and Greg Vincent. He is survived by one son, Scott McNatt (wife, Loretta); three daughters, Janie Spurgeon, Darnell George, Doris Vincent; 9 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; one sister, Bessie DuBose; one brother, Dewey McNatt; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, loved ones, and friends. His pallbearers will be his grandsons, Matt Spurgeon, Drew Vincent, Tyler Vincent, Kevin George, Evan Hargett, and Levi Hargett. Honorary pallbearers will be fellow Masons. He was a loving daddy and PaPaw Mac to all of us, always giving of his time and attention. We will miss him more than words can say. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Hospice of North Alabama, Dr. Kevin Kelly, and his staff. We especially want to thank Daddy?s ?angels? Gayle Davis, Bobbie Whitlock, and Amy Davis. Your care and love for our Dad was such a blessing and will never be forgotten. Spry Memorial Chapel assisted the family.
