Grady Carl Parrish

Reverend Grady Carl Parrish, 74, of Frankfort, was called home to his Lord and personal savior on Sunday, March 13, 2011. Bro. Grady was born on May 9, 1936 in Lake County, Florida. He and his beloved wife, Mary Frances moved to Frankfort in 1986. Grady was the pastor of the Frankfort Missionary Baptist Church and worked for the Animal Control for Franklin County. He graduated from Groveland High School, Groveland, FL in 1954 and received his Doctor of Divinity from NABI. He was called to preach in 1973 and has pastored many churches in Florida and Alabama. He loved studying the Bible, was a history buff, loved to hunt and shoot trap. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary Frances Parrish; his four daughters, Gail Todd, Gainesville, GA, Dixie (Drew) Lovell, Clarksville, GA, Sylvia Witherington, Land of Lakes, FL, Tami (Clay) Brown, Sherrills Ford, NC; his 13 grandchildren, Cheyenne Brinson, Chicago, IL, Charity (Michael) Phenis, Polk City, FL, Brittany (Anthony) St. John, Clanton, GA, Aaron (Amanda) Porter, Deltona, Fl, Chelsea (Keith) Parr, Commerce, GA, Ashley Porter, Deltona, FL, Nathan Miller, Clarksville, GA, Dylan Brown, Lucas Brown, Sherrills Ford, NC, Garrett Witherington, Land of Lakes, FL, Bailey Jo Brown, Sherrills Ford, NC, Abi Lovell, Andrew Lovell, Clarksville, GA; his 7 great-grandchildren; his sister, Peggy (Punk) Sloan, Groveland, FL; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and colleagues. He was preceded in death by his mother, Annie Mae Hull; father, Austin Parrish; sister, Laverne Clark; and his brother, Earl Parrish. The pallbearers will be Wade Willingham, Dallas Bragwell, Houstan Hovater, Anthony St. John, Keith Parr, and Josh Everett. Honorary pallbearers will be any ministers who are present. Visitation will be 6:00 -8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2011 @ Spry Memorial Chapel. His body will lie in state from 1:00 ? 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at Frankfort Missionary Baptist Church, with the funeral following at 2:00 p.m. Bro. Johnny Johnston and Bro. Andy Lee will officiate at the service. Interment will be at Old Frankfort Cemetery. ?The Lord is my Shephard, I Shall Not Want?
